How and why we use personal information

You are in control of what information you give to us and put in your profile. If you put information on the public part of the site we have no control over who will access this and how it will be used. Information you put on the public part of the site is at your own risk and we advise you not to put personal contact details there.

We will use your information to contact you for the reason you have requested. For example we will call you on the number you have given to discuss an Online Support Group or send you an e-mail if you have requested information on a centre programme activity.

We collate statistics of what you use on the site but these will in no way be connected with you. This is for information, research and promotion purposes only.

If you register to join an Online Support Group you will need to give us your contact phone number. This will be stored with your account on our secure database. We may ask you other questions during this call - this information will be recorded on your account on our secure database whilst your account is live, and for two years afterwards in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will not use this information to contact you in any other way than to assess your suitability for the Online Support Group unless we have reason to believe you are at risk of significant harm. Find out more.

We reserve the right to share your personal information if we are legally obliged to do so.
