Prescriptions & Health Costs

While those of us in the nations outside of England may wonder at the strange practise of Prescription charges , we still share the financial pain of other health charges :-)

However, since April 2009, no-one in England should be paying prescription charges,  if they have been treated for cancer or the effects of those treatments.

In the latest Benefits Blog -here - I explain how you get that exemption certificate.

But that doesn't exempt others in your household from such charges. Nor does it help you- or them - with other health costs, wherever you may live or stay across the UK.

So I also take a look at help with these

And even if there is no way your friendly local Benefits Advisor can devise a cunning plan to get help with health costs, we may find other benefits that may help, some regardless of your savings and income :-)

So you can see this  Benefits Blog may have disgressed a little :-) You can see for yourself here.

If you have any general comments or queries whether about prescription charges in England or health costs across the UK, please join this Conversation and post below.

But as ever, please feel free to message me for a quiet private word about your specific circumstances and help with health costs or other financial support.

Best wishes,
