My wife has no longer treatable Lukemia.  She is at home with me (her husband) as her carer.   She is still recieving care to "keep her going" so to speak.   Can't think about future.

It can feel a daunting time for a carer, when the person you love changes from curative  treatment to supportive care. By supportive care, I'm thinking of blood and/or platelet transfusions, antibiotics, and good symptom control to keep your wife as well as possible, for as long as possible...

The emotional impact sounds tough - the future may feel scary, and challenging...with lots of unknowns, and wondering how you might cope. I'm hoping you have access to good support for you? As your wife's life partner and carer, you're very important in what is going on - and sometimes it's tempting to put your own needs last...

I'm going to message you personally, so we can talk through things on a one to one basis, but I hope any fellow carers reading this, facing the worries and sadness about the potential loss that lies ahead...and how they cope...

    Warm wishes
