Have cancer and need a break?

Hi everyone,

The holiday season is creeping up, and for many you, the thought of a few days away would be a real panacea.

It's difficult to get away with cancer in the mix - treatments to juggle, what to do if ill while away, needing a break but needing some sort of security too.

Some of you may already know of The Grove Hotel in Bournemouth? It's a unique hotel offering a beautiful holiday retreat for cancer patients and those with life threatening illnesses. Carers, families and friends are all welcome. There is a nurse on duty 24 hours a day, for advice and support.

Macmillan Cancer support will fund short breaks for cancer patients up to £400.00 (means tested), and there are also some charitable funds available to help the carer come too.

The hotel leaflet states that 'Your illness might not take a break but you can'...

Might be worth a thought?

Warm wishes
