Brain tumour squatter

Started by Anonymous on 04 December 2013 at 20:44

The Squatter In My Head

I kept hearing noises...
I knew someone was there
But I still felt surprised
I still felt despair

He presented himself
On the images they took
Of my brain that day
And my world surely shook

I tried to be nice
And I asked him to leave
Even gave him good food
But he had more up his sleeve

He took in the food
Got real comfy inside
The pictures we took
Showed he was enjoying the ride

So enough is enough
I’m done being nice
I have to evict him
It shows from the slice

Of the MRI image
He’s grown this past year
I’m calling the surgeon
And I’ll shed not one tear

For I’ve been robbed of enough
And you’ve got to get out
When I recover from you
I’ll do nothing but shout

From the top of my lungs
I’ll be free from your pain
Moving on with my life
And have much more to gain

Because of you Waldo
You squatter from hell
I see things more clearly
Love life – don’t dwell

On the small things that bring
Some stress and some pain
I now see it clearly
I’ve got so much to gain

I’ll cherish each day
As it’s meant to be
Knowing you’re gone
And I’m finally free
See more
