Heart Full Of Tears

Heart Full Of Tears

With dark hair and eyes

I looked quite solemn

when that photo was taken.

Different to now.

Bald, moon faced, alien.

No tears in my eyes,

but plenty in my heart.

I belong to a great group of women who all have breast cancer and started chemo in February this year. I put a copy of all my cancer and non cancer poems on our forum. They seem to enjoy them too, and they keep us going. Some of us have finished chemo now thank goodness, but still have side effects and other treatments to endure. We hope to stick together for some years yet.

Your poems are so well worded and sums up exactly how cancer makes you feel. One of Maggie's members pamelaboal kindly wrote me a poem last year when I wasn't feeling so good, a very short poem but it said everything and expressed how I was.
