I had breast cancer 2 years ago and had mastectomy and chemo. No lymph nodes were involved. I am constantly thinking it will come back. How can I make these thoughts go away?

Valdor  Hi - Don't worry at all about spelling I think most members will vouch for how bad mine is! (and I don't have the excuse of woozy head post chemo!)

Hospitals can be scary places - especially if you haven't had much to do with them before or have had a bad experience in the past... It can help to visit  the ward before your op and have a look round....and meet some of the staff who will be looking after you. you could ask your specialist nurse to arrange this. They may also be able to introduce you to someone who has already had the same operation.

Have you been given any information about your operation?

I am sure other members will be in touch with their experiences - You are  also welcome to send me a message if you would like some further info or need to talk things through.

    Best wishes
