My Journey

At last ...

Today was my 1st radiotherapy session. It's been a long wait to get to this point, from informal diagnosis last August and formal diagnosis/start of HT in mid-November. Fortunately, the hospital wasn't affected by the recent computer malware attack and there were no delays in oncology today.

I had some minor issues with getting the bladder and bowels in the correct state (& synchronised), but after two ultrasounds and two CT scans, it was all systems go! :)

The radiotherapy itself was quick and totally pain/sensation free.

Hopefully, I'll soon get the hang of the bladder/bowel preparation, and look forward to future sessions running more smoothly.
