1st Hurdle Cleared

My CNS called me today to say that my cancer was responding very well to the anti-androgens and that my PSA count was 5.6. The consultant had been looking for a figure below 11, so that's the 1st hurdle cleared easily. Maybe not a massive step, but a good start.

With the Cheltenham Festival starting next week (a nightmare on the roads and in the pubs, for us residents living nearby), I was acutely aware of how easy it is to fall at the 1st.

If all goes well with the consultant next week, I might have a celebratory pint (or two) of the black stuff, with the Irish on St. Patricks day. :-)
