25 August 2016

This week is going well, I certainly havent been feeling as retched as I have the last couple of cycles, the occasional bout of fuzzy/light headedness and the odd nap during the day.

My PICC line arm did flare up a bit on Tuesday and looked a bit of a mess really, was very red and blotchy around the area where the PICC line and dressing used to be, but it wasnt sore.

The District Nurse suggested I put some cavillon the hospital had given me on it that night and the next morning it had definitely calmed down a lot and has continued to improve. That cavillon is pretty amazing for stuff like that.

I had my usual fun and games with the District Nurse on Tuesday, once again they didnt have me down for my injections this cycle, it always seems to be a problem at the start of my new cycle. I had to chase them a couple of times that night, finally someone turned up at 8.30pm. Now I am on the care list again, they are coming round at the regular time, although the nurses are all lovely and very apologetic, I will be glad when the injections are finally over.

So other than that, things seem to be ticking along and fingers crossed, it looks like these last weeks of toxicity are going to be kind to me.
