Catching up

What a busy week this has been!  I spent the  start of the week at one of our regular centre heads meetings -  always lively events as the centre heads from Maggie’s centres across the UK meet to  catch up on what’s been happening in all the centres and also to plan for the future.

Since I returned I have been catching up with both new and existing  members. I hope you are all managing to keep  warm  and dry  - it feels for many of us that winter has returned this week  (my chickens are certainly not impressed!)   Caroline’s nutrition blog  in the cancer and healthy eating group this week follows  up on her discussion about processed meat. It has ideas for nice warming casseroles and bolognaise,  do let her know if you have a go at  any of her recipes,  or if you have any  questions about healthy eating or topics you would like her to  include in her informative blogs.

Sue  (Susie q)  and I would like to invite  you to a live open talks session on  Wednesday 27th March 12.30  where we  will be answering questions about the online centre and we would also like to hear any  feedback you have  about how you use the online centre and suggestions you have for  improvements you would like to see in the future....

We will be using the session to test out  a new system for open talks so  please let us know how  you find it  ( and bear with us as we get to grips with it !)

I know there are also many of you who visit the online centre regularly who don’t register – this may be because you are not sure how to or perhaps you are unsure what you will find? Perhaps you are a healthcare professional who wants to know more about what we have to offer online?

To join the  open talks session you don’t have to be a registered member of the  online centre  you just need to follow a link which we will post  shortly  on the open talks group message board (registered members should automatically be a member of this group  - please let any of the online team know if you are not and we will add you to the group so you can receive updates.)

If you are unable to join the live session you can still take part - you are welcome to send in questions in advance and a transcript of the session will be available afterwards.

Several of our online support groups are having a break in sessions over the Easter holidays – for those of you who are members already  please check your group messageboard for details of session times .

Several of our online support groups have  spaces after the easter holidays you can find out more about  the facilitated  live groups we offer here

As always registered members are welcome to message Sue or myself if you want help, information or just to talk things over in private

 Best wishes
