Talking to children about cancer?

Would you like to know more about  talking to children about cancer?

We still have some places for our online  text chat  on Wednesday  at 11.00  “parents with cancer”  this session is for anyone who would like to know more about how to talk to children about cancer – perhaps you  would like some help in starting to tell children close to you about your diagnosis, or  are not sure how to answer the questions they ask about your treatment?

Areas covered will include the  challenges parents/close relatives face when they are diagnosed with cancer and practical suggestions for discussing cancer and its treatment  with children of all ages and also managing their reactions.

Rachel Fearnley will be joining  us for the  workshop – Rachel has  many years experience  working with  families when an adult  has been diagnosed with cancer or a life limiting illness and has a particular interest in research in this area.

To join the chat  you need to be a member of the online centre and also to sign up for the session in advance - You can find out more about the session and how to sign up here or you are welcome to message Sue (susieq) or  me  if you would like more info.

If you  are unable to join the session then you can still be involved –  just send me a message with your question/comment  and I will  ask Rachel to answer as many of your questions as possible.

 Best wishes
