Letrozole finished

Haven't done this blog for a while.  I miss the Kitchen Table group and have forgotten all about Maggie's as a result!  Well, I took my last dose of Letrozole yesterday, after taking it for over 5 years, and am now wondering how long it will be before the drug clears my system entirely.  I am concerned about stopping it as I have looked on it as a lifeline keeping the cancer at bay.  Nervous, especially as I recently found out that a friend's breast cancer has metastasized before recurrance was picked up.

As I have developed osteopenia, my head (and the breast care nurse) says it is a good thing to stop taking it but not sure that helps. The Letrozole did not give me many side effects that I am aware of apart from bone disease.  My rheumatic conditions and Sjogren's Syndrome pre-date the cancer diagnosis so cannot put arthritis etc down to Letrozole, however I am interested to see what changes, if anything.  Rather down today.
