Acute Polyarthritis

Following the virus which I recently contracted, it has morphed into acute Polyarthritis. Almost all of my joints becoming extremely painful, so much so, that I was sent to A&E for further investigation. This appears unconnected with the cancer, although it's possible that there is a link - the A&E doctor alluded to this.

Fortunately, tests did not show any joint infections, or other serious conditions, and I was discharged with stronger pain killers and a number of mobility aids.

Two weeks on and the worst of the pain has eased, except for in my shoulders and knees. Still feeling very tired and weak. Additional blood tests are now required to investigate further.

This is a complication that I could well have done without mid-way through my radio treatment.

Update: Blood tests didn't indicate anything that requires further treatment, so guess it's now just a matter of time until the polyarthritis goes.
